Report:
An easy win against a very sociable Wellcome team containing a mix of very experienced and extremely inexperienced players. The game started with my find still focussed on whether we had 11 on the pitch and worrying about the absence of Pete Slater. I watched as from the push back Owen encouraged Victor to run at the oppo from our own 25. Ten seconds later a mazy dribble ended with Josh Slater opening the scoring at the far post.

With confidence high Victor and Rob Mayes continued to bemuse the left side of Wellcome's defence with a series of skilful moves and we were soon 5 up. Rob continued to ignore instructions to slide the ball to the top of the D from the byline preferring to lay on easy goals for others 1 yard out!

A slick short corner routine (lets ignore the others which the captain mucked up) gave us our sixth before half time as Owen took on the Pete Slater role from the flick spot.

At half time Boris declared on 2 to avoid buying a jug and Wellcome decided sensibly on a damage limitation strategy of packing the defence. We spent the 2nd half practicing moving the ball quickly across the pitch and back but found it difficult to score until Andrew went on a wobble slaloming through the defence and sliding an exquisite reverse stick pass across the goal to a grateful Rob Mayes.
