Report:
Well prepared, great warm up and with a huge desire to win - these
attributes were nothing to do with us!! We rocked up and had 11 on the pitch
with about 20 seconds before push back!! We already knew we were champions!!
The game was played on our part more like tour hockey and with only Birchy
breaking into a sweat due to his fantastic 'dangerous' passes into the D, us
fair maidens could only sit back and admire!!
The game finished as it had started - with us as champions and even though we
lost promptly reminded the oppo by cracking open the champers!! We then got wind
that HSBC won which meant that they finished 2nd!!
Thanks to all 16 who have played for the 1st XI this year - it has been a great
year for me and you lot made it so!! Pre-season training will start in August as
we will need to be even better prepared for next season than this!!
