Report:
Well this was the 1st league back after Xmas and although we had a good
warm up game last week and it showed!! We all seemed a bit off the pace for the
first 10 mins!! However we got through this and spent the rest of the game in
complete control!! Deal only really putting us under any real pressure on a
quick break away, but even then that didn't happen too often!! We did have a
small injury worry when Kez got hit in the mush making him even more
attractive!!
The only problem was that the 1st half was completed without us scoring a goal
and the concern was that Deal may sneak one which would have been undeserved!!
The second half was better and the movement improved and within 30 seconds of
the restart and 40 seconds of Heady saying 'Well Rich Skip isn't gonna run 40
yards and put the ball in the back of the net!' we had scored!! The goal was
finished with aplomb by Rich Skip having burst 40 yards and put the ball in the
back of the net!! We then grew even stronger and played even better and scored 2
more!! Another from Rich and one from Kez!! This must of helped ease the pain of
being smashed in the head for the 2nd time!! After a shot, the goalie saved it
by booting it right into Kez's eyebrow which in turn cannoned into one of their
defenders head's!!
The only other thing to mention is that the skipper had a plethora of chances in
the 2nd half and couldn't hit a barn door!!
Well next week is a tough game at Folkestone!! They seemed to have
stitched us up
again by giving us the 4.30 slot!! We need to win again to keep the pressure on
those behind us!!
