Report: Well what a difference!! We warmed up better and got our heads in and seemed to want it today!! We had the worst slot on an astro in bad condition with floodlights that had as much wattage as candle light!! With a team with four 1st XI regulars out we knew we needed a performance!! The 1st half was pretty pedestrian on our part, but we did play well just hadn't clicked into gear!! We took the lead, after having many chances, with a thunderbolt of a finish from the skipper! We then managed to concede with pretty much the last play of the first half!! The second half started and we began to shift through the gears!! However it took until midway through the second that we managed to score some of the chances!! We ended up scoring six, Stevie George with his 1st hat trick well done, but could have had double/triple that if he had woken from his slumber when the game started, and 2 from Rich Skipper!! He managed to ruin Kez's day by taking his goal bound shot off the line for himself!! Have to now push on and start dominating teams from the off!! A strong Canterbury side next week and so we will have to work hard for our 3 points!! A quick mention must go to the Old Bords guys who came and gave us support and Kev abuse!! It took them a while to warm up but after the second can of wife beater and the banter and chirping really started!! See you guys on 07/01/06 for a friendly and beers!!
